We're Aaron and Jess, and this blog is where we're serving up our take on vegan Japanese recipes-the kind of food that's full of flavor, mostly healthy, and made for sharing.

Aaron's half Japanese and grew up cooking with his mum, who made all the traditional dishes totally plant-based. We're talking proper home-cooked miso soups, rice bowls, noodle dishes-the works-all without meat, fish, or dairy. A few years back, he even ran a vegan Japanese noodle bar that toured music festivals around the UK, making big bowls of yaki soba, sizzling tempura for lots of happy people.
These days, we're back in the kitchen at home, experimenting, learning, and sharing everything we cook (the wins, the flops, and everything in between).
Jess brings a different perspective: she's our in-house taste tester and food critic. A lifelong carnivore slowly leaning plant-based-mainly because the stuff coming out of our kitchen is just too good not to-she keeps things running behind the scenes: handling the blog, managing the tech, and helping us figure out where we go next. We're always open to ideas, so if you've got something in mind, feel free to reach out.
