Hello! We're Aaron and Jess. We started vegan Japanese together in November 2023 as a way to document our experiments creating our favourite Japanese recipes for a plant-based diet. We're based in London, UK, along with our young son and chatty bengal cat, Tachyon.
This blog is all about having fun in the kitchen, learning new flavours and a few skills to turn some simple ingredients into something really delicious. We're going to explore the world of Japanese cooking, influenced by Aaron's family background and experience working in the family Japanese noodle bar. I grew up eating meat and am a fussy vegetarian convert.
So whether it's a traditional home recipe or a bit of fun fusion, we're excited to learn and explore some new flavours and dishes here with you.
